Acidity

Acidity is caused in the stomach when excess production of acid is formed by the gastric glands. The stomach normally secrets hydrochloric acid which is required for the breakdown and digestion of the food we eat. Acidity is generally affected by various external factors such as eating habits, stress, bad diet, smoking and alcohol consumption, lack of physical activities and irregularity in eating pattern.


Symptoms

The common symptom of acidity is the burning sensation after eating a meal. Acidity causes symptoms like dyspepsia, heartburn, gastric inflammation and ulcers in the stomach. Various other symptoms of Acidity which people might experience are:
